Training Tips

The kettlebell swing is a dynamic exercise that primarily works your posterior chain (hamstrings, glutes, and lower back). Here's a breakdown:  

  • Movement: You swing a kettlebell between your legs and up to chest or shoulder height

  • Power Source: The primary force comes from your hips, not your arms. You hinge at the hips, driving them forward powerfully to propel the kettlebell upward.

Enhance your game this off-season! Rugby players are invited to participate in our 8-week Strength and Conditioning program at IslandFit Wellness Club, (80 Commerce Drive Rochester NY 14623). Sessions are held on Tuesdays at 7pm, with makeup options on Saturdays. The program runs from February 4th to March 25th and costs $280 per person. A minimum of 4 participants is required.
